Here I go again, I've got an empty page and ink in my pen, and my head it's spinning, my thought's are sprinting, I can't keep up with myself again. You see I find myself in the same old jam, this mic knows me better then my closest friends, and this guitars been here through thick and thin. I've learned more about life, love, and God, from sitting here and playing my song's, then I did from 12 years or school, or from sitting in-between the pews, but my momma taught me to read the good books, and my old man said, "nothing works unless you do, so get some calloused hands, go and be a man." I've got a song that needs to be sung, that's boiling my blood. I've got a hope with the fury of a freight train. I'm a happy man with love pulsing through my veins. Well it's you and I and the Lord makes 5, she's looking at me with her bible black eyes, she's looking for a man that will tell her no lies, well darling I'm much more then a few catchy lines. You see I was in my room just playing my tunes, when Molly left me, she says I'm confused, she says I'm a fool, well I don't mind if Molly leaves cause Molly don't like the blues. She packed her bags and left California, says it's gunna burn like Sodom and Gomorrah, darlin' it don't matter if you're here or in Georgia, don't dance with the devil because the devil really ain't looking to dance. I've got a song that needs to be sung, that's boiling my blood. I've got a hope with the fury of a freight train. I'm a happy man with love pulsing through my veins.

Resistencia 05:55
Oh brother, I’ll miss your face, I’ll see it soon in a different place, So you go your way, I’ll go mine, I hope to see you standing in line, Oh brethren, I hear your voices, “keep your eye single through the choice, and we’ll go our way, you go yours, make your way back through the doors.” Oh makers, it’s hollow as hell and heavy as heaven, the pains been felt, but I’m not one to shake hands with doubt, I’ll kiss the soil of the south, Oh maker my voice is hoarse, from calling out, from calling yours, And oh you feel a unique love when you humble down with the dust. Oh my father, I burnt my crops, sat upon alfalfa tops, And watched me sins dance with the wind, Oh father, I burnt my fields, I can’t quite tell you how it feels, But I let my mistakes burn with the grain. Oh sister, love lies in trust, so bury this with the moonlight, don’t resurrect it with the morning sun, Don’t give up what you true desire, walk on through the refiner’s fire, Oh man in the mirror, take what you need, but don’t tarry here, And though I haven’t seen your face, I’ll drop my love to bare your name. Oh my father, I burnt my crops, sat upon alfalfa tops, And watched me sins dance with the wind, Oh father, I burnt my fields, I can’t quite tell you how it feels, But I let my mistakes burn with the grain.

I’ve walked these streets since I quite young, Usually I’d walk them all on my own, Sometimes I’d walk them with a hand in my palm, Figured entwined with the one that I loved. We sat outside your home in the moonlight, You said, “I’ll sneak and we’ll spend some time, Getting lost in the laughter, the sound of our smiles.” Those nights were few but it’s then that I knew. Spent those Idaho nights on the telephone, Showing despite the long miles we managed to grow, You said, “Hurry up and please come home.” I counted each state sign until I made my way into your arms. Our love’s been true and it’s sure been sweet, He said, “Darling please wear this ring, I’ll build you a house with a white picket fence.” We’ve sung our old folk song each day since.

Burnt and cracked feet, from tying miles for you and me, Eyes, set and fixed, and the glory of what love is, Hands, raw and calloused, from building your palace, Lost and sore voice, sung from the dust of a wrong choice. Baby I’m a foolish man, I gave up all I am, Baby don’t you understand, I’m nothing but a foolish man. If I loved you, I’d be a lying, cheating, foolish, deceiving man, If I loved you, I’d be a lying, cheating, thieving, no good, fool of a man. Baby I’m a foolish man, I gave up all I am, Baby don’t you understand, I’m nothing but a foolish man.

Best Kept 03:28
I saw the devil, I saw the doubt, used my hands I watered the drought, for you, lie down your limbs, lay low your sins, lie down and rest your head, for you, the love in your blood, the love in your flesh, all the love pounding in your chest, was best kept here, for you. But truth is, you don’t love me like the words you spoke, back when the sun rose and set with your brown eyes, back when the words you’d speak, whispered between blushed cheeks, well, truth is you don’t, and I’m yelling out. Sing out your pain, oh, sing out your passions, raise your voice, move your mountains, for you, sing out your sin, sing out your hymns, sing all the salt from you skin, for you. Though truth is, you don’t love me like the words you spoke, back when the sun rose and set with your brown eyes, back when the words you’d speak, whispered between blushed cheeks, well, Truth is you don’t, and I’m singing out. The love in your blood, the love in your flesh, all the love pounding in your chest, was best kept here, for you.
